Read MoreFestival organizers Ultra Enterprises Inc. have been forced to cancel this weekend’s Ultra Abu Dhabi and Road To Ultra: India, and Ultra Music Festival. This will be the first time Ultra Music Festival will have to skip a year. The decision was made to cancel things yesterday.
The cause is the ever-growing coronavirus, which has been threatening any massive gathering of people in the world. Recently, GDC 2020 had to be postponed until the summer. Tomorrowland Winter, which was slated to take place next week in France, was also cancelled yesterday. Forthcoming events such as SXSW, Anime Expo, and E3 will go on as planned, but they’ll be closely keeping an eye on the situation.
Yesterday, Ultra Music Festival released phase three of its 2020 lineup, and they’ve unleashed some major names heading to the event.
This year’s installment will have David Guetta debuting his side project Jack Back to the North American crowds. In 2018, Guetta returned to underground house music under the alias. Other acts joining the festival include hip hop producer TOKiMONSTA, who’ll be promoting their forthcoming studio album Oasis Nocturno, hardstyle producer DJ Coone, trap producer Baauer, and singer-songwriter Cray.
Ultra Music Festival have also unveiled the performance order for each stage. You can check that out below.
Tickets for Ultra Music Festival 2020, which takes place at Miami’s Bayfront Park from March 20 - March 22, are on sale here. As of this writing, 85% of tickets have been sold.
With the 2020 installment of EDC Las Vegas a few months away, Insomniac revealed who’s rocking the Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a special stream yesterday.
On Friday, May 15, fans will be treated to sets from Space Jesus, Alison Wonderland, and Seven Lions. The following day (Saturday, May 16) will feature performances from Throttle, Slander, and a special throwback set from 12th Planet. On Sunday, May 17, Rezz, Cosmic Gate, and Arty will help close the festival. The entire lineup can be seen below.
Tickets for EDC Las Vegas 2020, which marks the festival’s 10th year in Las Vegas, are already sold out, but fans can join the waitlist here.
With the 2020 installment of Road To Ultra: India coming in less than a month, organizers have revealed who’ll perform at the two day event today.
Four major producers will take over as headliners for the festival. Grammy-nominated producer Alesso kept the dancefloor moving with 2019’s “Sad Song” and “In The Middle.” In 2019, KSHMR dropped a plethora of collaborations with acts such as Timmy Trumpet (“The People”), Mike Waters (“My Best Life“), and Krewella (“No Regrets”). Nicky Romero will release his forthcoming Redefine EP later this year. Last month, he dropped the first single from the release titled “I See.” Vini Vici will unveil their new collaboration with NERVO and Shapov titled “My World” on Valentine’s Day. Vini Vici, Nicky Romero, and KSHMR are confirmed to perform at Ultra Music Festival in Miami.
For support, Road To Ultra: India is bringing some of the brightest names in the scene. As the resident DJ for Ultra, Mykris has performed around the world. Hailing from Italy, Olly Esse is one of the country’s most successful female DJs. Aside from performing at Road To Ultra: India back in 2017, Siana Catherine has found herself hitting up festivals such as Sunburn Festival and Godfather Beer Festival.
Tickets for Road To Ultra: India are on sale here. The event will take place on March 7 in Hyderabad’s GMR Arena and March 8 inside Delhi NCR’s Backyard Sports Club, Gurgaon on March 8. You can check out the official aftermovie for Road To Ultra: India 2017 below.
