The third annual Anime NYC will arrive at the Javits Center this weekend, and anime fans are gearing up for three days of anime cheer. Guests such as Avery Smithhart, Vofan, and Abby Denson will arrive to meet their biggest fans. We bring to you five panels worth checking out while attending the convention. The Z2 Comics Panel Featuring Poppy

Internet sensation/singer Poppy will discuss their new Z2 Comics graphic novel Genesis One. Poppy has been selling out venues across the country with her electric live shows. Last month, they continued their relationship with WWE NXT with a live performance. On January 10, Poppy will unveil their third studio album I Disagree.

Anime Cabaret Improv Jam

Voice actor Lisa Ortiz (Revolutionary Girl Utena, Galaxy Express 999: Eternal Fantasy) will turn your favorite anime into song at the Anime Cabaret Improv Jam. As expected, some audience participation will be needed.

Cosplayers Getting Coffee LIVE!

Youtube channel Cosplayers Getting Coffee has been gaining attention in the convention circuit since its launch in 2017. The concept is simple: cosplayers get together for a cup of joe while having a chat. The team behind the channel will be on hand with a special interactive version of the show. A Q&A session will also be held.

Anime NYC 2019 Masquerade Featuring Bang Dream!

The annual Anime NYC Masquerade will bring some of the best performances on stage. Only one act can take home the title of Best In Show. Aside from the Masquerade contest, there's a Bang Dream-only cosplay contest taking place. Fans can also expect a concert from Miku Ito and a live performance from Suzu Momoi.

Ramen: Illustrated

Ramen lovers won't want to miss Ramen: Illustrated, which is about the new cookbook Let's Make Ramen! Released back in July, this book features a slew of ramen recipes in the form of a comic book. Author Hugh Amano and artist Sarah Becan will discuss how the book was created and what makes ramen so delectable. After the panel, Amano and Becan will sign copies of the book at the Anime NYC autographing area.

Max Mittelman and Ray Chase announced for Anime NYC 2019

Anime NYC have announced that Max Mittelman and Ray Chase will be returning to the convention.

Mittleman is best known for his work as Saitama in One-Punch Man, Resasuke in Aggretsuko, and Jun Shiratori in Erased. Chase is best known for his work as Noctis Lucis Caelum in Final Fantasy XV, Hanzo in Hunter × Hunter, and Gendo Ikari in the Netflix dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion. The two have worked together in numerous projects, including Persona 5, Berserk, and Mob Psycho 100.

Tickets for Anime NYC are on sale right now. The convention takes over the Javits Center from November 15 through November 17.

Anime NYC 2019 reveals Lantis Matsuri anisong concert lineup

Anime NYC have unveiled the lineup for their annual anisong concert.

Announced today, Lantis Matsuri will bring JAM Project, Guilty Kiss from Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours, TRUE, and ZAQ to the concert, which takes place on Friday, November 15 at the Javits Center’s Special Events Hall. Lantis is celebrating their 20 year anniversary as an anisong record label. Last month, they held a concert series in Tokyo with over 70 musicians at hand.

Tickets and VIP packages will go on sale in the near future. An Anime NYC ticket doesn’t include entry into the concert. You also don’t need to purchase an Anime NYC ticket to attend.

Illustrator Vofan to appear at Anime NYC 2019

Yesterday, Anime NYC revealed that illustrator Vofan will be heading to their convention this fall.

Since 2006, Vofan, who is nicknamed The Magician of Light from Taiwan, has worked on the Japanese light novels Monogatari. He also released five art books under the Colorful Dreams and Otona Fantasy names. On October 29, Vertical will release Vofan’s 2006 installment of Colorful Dreams with a new cover and photographs. This will be the first time an entry in the Colorful Dreams series will be released in the West.

Dr. Stone creators Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi announced for Anime NYC 2019

Anime NYC have been teasing a big announcement, and today, they finally revealed Dr. Stone creators Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi will appear at the convention.

The Dr. Stone manga series debuted in 2017 though Weekly Shōnen Jump and quickly gained a following. Earlier this month, a 24 episode anime adaptation of Dr. Stone debuted through Tokyo MX, Crunchyroll, and Funimation.
