Read MoreBrian Cox will head to The Great Philadelphia Comic Con this April for their first comic convention appearance in the United States. Announced today, the actor will appear at all three days of the convention.
Cox recently won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama for his portrayal of Logan Roy on HBO's hit series Succession. Throughout his career, the actor has earned an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Nuremberg) and a Satellite Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama (L.I.E.). Cox is best known for his performances as Ward Abbott in the Jason Bourne film series, William Stryker in X-2, and Captain John O'Hagan in the Super Troopers film series. His autograph price is $50 while a photo op will cost $60.
Tickets for The Great Philadelphia Comic Con are on sale right now. The convention takes place at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center from April 3 through April 5. More information about the convention can be found here.
Decibel Magazine’s Metal & Beer Festival returns to Philadelphia next year with some special performances. The first string of bands were unveiled today, and three acts will celebrate some beloved albums.
Converge will perform their 2001 studio album Jane Doe in its entirety. The album has become an iconic release in metalcore and has been including in countless music lists. In 2017, Converge released a live version of the record titled Jane Live.
Napalm Death will have the pleasure of performing both 1990’s Harmony Corruption and 1992’s Utopia Banished. Pig Destroyer will perform their 2001 release Prowler in the Yard.
Other acts announced for the festival are Mayhem, Satan, Night Demon, Haunt, Magic Circle, and Un. More bands will be announced in November.
The Philadelphia installment of Decibel Magazine's Metal & Beer Festival will go down on April 3 & April 4, 2020 inside The Filmore. Tickets for the festival will go on sale this Friday (October 18) at 10 a.m. EST.
