Wheatus to perform self-titled debut album on U.S. tour next year
Wheatus will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their self-titled debut album with a trek across the United States.
Revealed on Wednesday, the tour will kick off on March 20 at Cambridge’s Sonia, and it’ll conclude on April 19 at Columbus’A&R Music Bar. The trek will feature Wheatus performing their debut album in its entirety. Opening acts will be announced soon. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
Released in 2000, the band’s self-titled debut album features their beloved single “Teenage Dirtbag” and their cover of Erasure’s "A Little Respect." The record would hit platinum status in the U.K. and sell over five million copies worldwide. Last year, the band released Wheatus 2020, which is a re-recorded and reimagined version of the album along with a slew of re-recorded “lost songs” from the band’s career.
