Two new Pokémon animated shows announced (Pokémon: Paldean Winds and Pokémon: Path to the Peak)
At today’s Pokemon Presents event, two new limited animated shows will arrive in the following weeks.
Pokémon: Paldean Winds follows Ohara, Aliquis, and Hohma in their journey of finding themselves while attending school. The four-episode web series features animation from WIT Studio, who previously worked on Attack on Titan, The Ancient Magus' Bride, and Vinland Saga. The animation studio previously did OVAs based on Star Fox Zero (Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins) and Pokémon Legends: Arceus (Pokémon: Hisuian Snow). The show will debut on the official Pokémon YouTube channel on September 6.
Pokémon: Path to the Peak will be unveiled during the 2023 Pokémon World Championships this Friday (August 11). This animated web series will follow trainer Ava and their Pokémon Oddish as they try to become the very best at the competitive side of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Aside from airing at the tournament, the first episode will also arrive on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
The mainline Pokémon cartoon is currently on its 26th season. Titled Pokémon Horizons: The Series, the show follows new protagonists Liko and Roy in their journey across the world of Pokémon. English dubs for the new season will be unveiled soon.
