Tokyo Police Club release "Just A Scratch" music video
Beloved Canadian indie rock band Tokyo Police Club unveiled the music video for “Just A Scratch” on Wednesday.
The music video, which can be seen here, features footage from the band’s nearly 20-year run. The band said this about the new visual:
“We are fortunate enough to have come about at the dawn of easy digital video making. iPhone 3G anyone? Thanks to the photographers and phone-pointers that filmed us along the way when we had no idea how to act normal on camera. Now that we’re shutting down shop we get to finally dig into the archives, and it turns out that all that footage was just marinating in its own vibes all these years, growing ever more flavourful and potent. Everything we’ve been doing during this Final Year Of TPC has felt a bit like watching our lives flash before our eyes, but this video takes that to a whole new level. Our lives flashing in front of everyone’s eyes! One last time. And man, what cool lives they’ve been! And of course who wouldn’t want their early 20s first attempt at a beard immortalized for all to enjoy…”
Tokyo Police Club have also announced new shows on November 22 in Ottawa and November 23 in London, Ontario. Tickets for those two shows will go on sale to the general public today.
The band’s farewell tour will kick off on September 13, and it’ll feature sold out shows in Vancouver, Los Angeles, NYC, and Toronto. The trek will feature support from Born Ruffians; the sold-out Toronto shows will feature support from Born Ruffians, Hollerado and Good Kid. Tickets for remaining shows are on sale to the general public right now. Tickets can be purchased here.
