The Red Lantern's soundtrack coming to vinyl via iam8bit
iam8bit will be releasing the soundtrack to Timberline Studio’s debut title The Red Lantern this spring.
Announced today, pre-orders for the vinyl release can be made right now here. The vinyl, which comes with a digital download of the soundtrack, will arrive on aurora purple vinyl.
A description of the game and accompanying vinyl reads:
The Red Lantern shares the story of the Musher (Ashly Burch), who moves to Alaska looking for a fresh start in the unforgiving wilderness. Her journey of perseverance and self-discovery is enhanced through its soundtrack, which captures the shushing of the sled gliding through snow and the loneliness – and freedom – that comes with being the only person on the trail. Hrishikesh Hirway (Song Exploder, The One AM Radio) composed and recorded The Red Lantern's soundtrack, providing a welcome bit of warmth amid Alaska's unrelenting cold.
The Red Lantern soundtrack features 14 tracks, including the bonus track "Holiday Lights," pressed on Aurora Purple vinyl. It's tucked into a sleeve with dazzling art from Haley bbanditt Wakefield that perfectly captures snowy sunsets and the majestic Northern Lights in the night sky. The center labels add a touch of whimsy, with a sled-dog team that runs in circles as the record plays.
The Red Lantern is available on PC and the Nintendo Switch right now here.
