Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (June 24 through June 30).
Monday, June 24
Marissa Nadler, Scout Gillett @ Zebulon (2478 Fletcher Dr.)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets) 21+
Folk artist Marissa Nadler will make their way to Zebulon for a night of fan favorites, deep cuts, and some newer material. The artist’s studio album was 2021’s The Path of the Clouds. Scout Gillett, who’ll be promoting their 2022 debut album no roof no floor, will be the opening act.
Wednesday, June 26
Tessa Violet @ Moroccan Lounge (901 E. 1st Street)
Doors: 6:30 p.m. (tickets)
Tessa Violet is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut album Maybe Trapped Mostly Troubled on tour, and they’ll make their way to Los Angeles’ Moroccan Lounge for another special performance.
Thursday, June 27
Death to All, Cryptopsy @ Regent Theater (448 S Main Street)

Death tribute band Death To All, which features formers members of the group, will conclude their North American tour with a two-night stint at Regent Theater. Night one (Thursday, June 27) will find them performing Death’s debut album Scream Bloody Gore in its entirety alongside songs from Leprosy and Spiritual Healing while night two (Friday, June 28) will see the band performing The Sound of Perseverance in full with tracks from Human, Individual Thought Patterns, and Symbolic. Cryptopsy will open both shows. While night two is sold out, there’s a handful of tickets left for Thursday’s show.
Friday, June 28
SUMAC @ Zebulon (2478 Fletcher Dr.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets) 21+
Post-metal supergroup SUMAC will headline Zebulon in support of their new studio album The Healer. Sulfuric Cautery, Grave Infestation will also perform. SUMAC will also perform at 2220 Arts + Archives for a special set with Patrick Shiroishi on Saturday (tickets on sale here).
Iron & Wine @ The Bellwether (333 S. Boylston St.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)
Iron & Wine will take over The Bellwether for two nights in support of their new studio album Light Verse, which features a guest appearance from Grammy-winning artist Fiona Apple. The folk artist is best known for their single "Flightless Bird, American Mouth,” which was featured in the Twilight films. Their second performance at the venue takes place on Saturday; tickets for that show are on sale here.
Saturday, June 29
Patches & Pins Expo @ Pasadena Convention Center (300 East Green St.)
Doors: 12 p.m. (free to the public)
Patches & Pins Expo takes over Pasadena Convention Center this weekend for one of the area’s biggest flea markets. Attendees will be able to purchase pins, patches, Funko Pops, and sneakers. The first 100 attendees will gain a free pin. RSVP for the event here.
The Roots, Queen Latifah @ Hollywood Bowl (2301 Highland Ave.)

The Roots Picnic will celebrate hip-hop with a bevy of performances from The Roots, Queen Latifah, Common, Digable Planets, Arrested Development, The Pharcyde, Black Sheep, Jungle Brothers, and more.
Thomas Dolby, Tom Bailey of Thompson Twins @ YouTube Theater (1011 Stadium Dr.)

The Totally Tubular Festival brings 80s nostalgia to YouTube Theater with performances from Thomas Dolby, Tom Bailey of Thompson Twins, Modern English, Men Without Hats, The Romantics, Bow Wow Wow, Tommy Tutone, and Eddie Munoz of The Plimsouls.
