Tekken 8 to gain closed beta test in October
Tekken fans will be able to test out Tekken 8 again before its official release next year.
Revealed today, another closed beta test for Tekken 8 will take place starting on October 20 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. This closed beta will let people battle online with 19 available characters. Individuals who downloaded the June closed beta test build will automatically be involved next month via an update.
Registration for the closed beta is open right now here, and it’ll close on October 11. Chosen individuals will be notified on October 18. The closed beta will close on October 23.
Tekken 8 will be available on January 24. Pre-orders for the game can be made here. The Premium Collector's Edition of the game features a plethora of items, including a Jin figurine, a Leroy Smith metal ring, and an arcade token.
A synopsis for the game reads:
TEKKEN 8 continues the tragic saga of the Mishima bloodline and its world-shaking father-and-son grudge matches. After defeating his father, Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya continues his conquest for global domination, using the forces of G Corporation to wage war on the world. Jin is forced to face his fate head-on as he is reunited with his long-lost mother and seeks to stop his father Kazuya's reign of terror.

11th October at 08:00 a.m. BST – Registration ends.
18th October at 08:00 a.m. BST – Selected testers will be notified and provided codes to redeem.
20th October at 09:00 a.m. BST – Closed Beta Testing starts.
21st October from 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. BST – Closed Beta Test downtime for server maintenance.
23rd October at 09:00 a.m. BST – Closed Beta Testing ends.
