Chex Quest gets HD remake

Released in 1996, Chex Quest was a perfect FPS for the youth. Based on the Doom engine, the game follows Chex Warrior’s journey to save the planet of Bazoik. Chex Quest made history by being the first video game to be a prize in cereal boxes. 24 years after its release, the game has been remade, and old-school fans are freaking out.

Chex Quest HD was announced back in 2016 by Chex Quest lead artist Charles Jacobi. The remake, which uses Unreal Engine 4, includes four-player local multiplayer to the mix. You can unlock special characters by using codes found on specially-marked bags of Chex. You can check out the trailer below. Chex Quest HD is available for free download on Steam.

Following the original release of Chex Quest, two sequels were released, including 2008’s Chex Quest 3.

Resident Evil 3 Remake announced for April 2020 release

After the success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, RE fans wanted Capcom to deliver the same presentation for Resident Evil 3. At today’s Sony's "State of Play" livestream, their wishes were granted with the official announcement of Resident Evil 3 remake, which arrives on April 3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Aside from the main game, this remake will include the team based multiplayer game mode Resident Evil: Resistance.

Pre-orders for the game are live on their website. If you’re looking to drop more cash, the Collector’s Edition is also available. This includes an 11-inch Jill Valentine figure, an official art book, a Raccoon City survival map, and a digital copy of the soundtrack. All pre-orders will gain the Jill and Carlos Classic Costume Pack.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD heads to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam

It’s been very quiet in the Super Monkey Ball camp, but today, Sega revealed plans to unleash Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD this fall. The game is a remake of the 2006 Wii launch title. The original Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz featured 100 levels with eight boss bottles. You can check out the announcement trailer below.

The remake is slated to be released on October 29 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. For Steam users, this will drop in winter 2019. Pre-orders for the console versions are live here.

The last Super Monkey Ball game released was 2014’s Super Monkey Ball Bounce, which was released on Android and iOS.
