Dashboard Confessional announce vinyl release of 'MTV Unplugged 2.0'

Dashboard Confessional’s 2002 live album MTV Unplugged 2.0 will be released on vinyl for the first time.

Announced today, fans can pick up the release on orange & black and tri-color vinyl here. The vinyl will be shipped to arrive on September 25. MTV Unplugged 2.0 topped the Top Heatseekers and Top Independent Albums charts upon its release. The platinum selling live album was propelled by the single “Hands Down.”

In January, Dashboard Confessional unveiled their greatest hits compilation The Best Ones of the Best Ones. Chris Carrabba is currently recovering from a motorcycle accident.

Code Orange to release 'Under The Skin' live album this Friday

Code Orange will release their Under The Skin live album this Friday (September 4).

The record is taken from their recent Under The Skin livestream on Twitch, which found the band performing stripped down versions of fan favorites such as “Bleeding In The Blur” and “Sulfur Surrounding.” The live performance also included a cover of Alice In Chains’ “Down In A Hole,” which can be streamed below. The entire performance was shot and edited by Sunny Singh of hate5six. Special physical pre-orders, including a DVD of the show, can be made here.

In March, Code Orange unveiled their fourth studio album Underneath, which peaked at number two on the Tastemakers Albums chart and number six on the Hard Rock Albums chart.

Halsey announces first live album 'Badlands (Live From Webster Hall)'

Pop singer Halsey will unveil their first live album this Friday (August 28).

Revealed yesterday, the singer will release Badlands (Live From Webster Hall). The live album was recorded during Halsey’s performance at Webster Hall last year. The release celebrates the five-year anniversary of Halsey’s debut album Badlands, which was also released on August 28.

Back in January, Halsey released their third studio album Manic, which debuted at number two on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Halsey is set to release their first book of poetry titled I Would Leave Me If I Could on November 10. Pre-orders can be made here.

Devin Townsend reveals 'Order Of Magnitude - Empath Live Volume 1'

Beloved metal artist Devin Townsend has announced details on his new live album.

Revealed today, Order of Magnitude - Empath Live Volume 1 was recorded during Townsend’s headlining gigs in London back in December. For these shows, Townsend was joined by Mike Kenneally (ex-Frank Zappa), Markus Reuter (Stick Men, The Crimson Project), Morgen Agren (Kaipa, Mats & Morgan, Frank Zappa), Nathan Navarro, Diego Tejeida (Haken), Ché Aimee Dorval, Samantha & Anne Preis, and Arabella Packford. In a statement, Townsend said:

“I was overwhelmed by the fact that all these brilliant people that I have so much respect for were willing to come together and play this weird shit with me. I had these unique players and this interesting instrumentation that allowed us to interpret the music in different ways. It was clear to me that I could just have fun and be me and know that they would be effortlessly be able to follow that.”

Pre-orders for Order of Magnitude - Empath Live Volume 1 will go live on August 28. The release, which arrives on October 23 via Inside Out/HevyDevy, will be available in Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital album formats.

On September 5, Townsend will have a special live performance titled Empath Live Volume 2, which wlll be a request set. The setlist was voted by fans for Townsend to perform at the now cancelled Bloodstock Festival, Tuska Festival, and Hellfest music festivals. Ida Mae to release 'Live In Memphis' EP on January 24

Americana duo Ida Mae have announced plans to drop their Live In Memphis EP on January 24. ‘Revealed today, the release showcases the band’s phenomenal live show, which found them performing alongside Blackberry Smoke and Greta Van Fleet.

Ida Mae are currently on tour supporting Rodrigo y Gabriela. In February, they’ll return to the States supporting Tommy Emmanuel. You can check out their upcoming tour dates below. The act are promoting their latest studio album Chasing Lights, which peaked at number 10 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
