Somewhere Nowhere is the follow up to Hundredth’s 2017 studio album Rare. When it came to recording the album, vocalist Chadwick Johnson said, “We wanted things that groove or swing, to make something more rhythmically complex, but also to make you feel something. It was about finding moods and imperfections in that electronic environment.”
Two weeks after announcing their new album Somewhere Nowhere, Hundredth have released the title track.
When it comes to writing the track, which you can hear below, vocalist Chadwick Johnson said:
"Somewhere Nowhere was one of the last songs I wrote for the record and I really wanted a 'thesis-like' title-track to set the tone for the entire album. It’s uplifting, but dark. It’s modern, but feels a bit nostalgic. It’s a glance backward while moving forward. I feel like it’s one of the most balanced songs on the album and it really sets up the entire album sonically and lyrically.”
Digital pre-orders for Somewhere Nowhere can be made here. Special physical pre-order items, including vinyl and hoodies, can be made here. All physical pre-orders come with a download of the album.
Somewhere Nowhere, which will be released on October 9, is the follow up to Hundredth’s 2017 studio album Rare.

2019 has been a productive year for shoegaze/indie rock group Hundredth. As an independent band, the former melodic hardcore rockers unveiled a slew of singles to keep fans satiated until the proper follow up to 2017’s Rare. Fortunately, “Whatever,” “Cauterize,” and “Leave Yourself” did the trick. The band promoted the new music with a handful of shows in the Northeast, including a performance at the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City.
Yesterday, the band released their final single of 2019 with "Iridescent." The tune, which you can stream below, is available on all streaming platforms along with their other released singles. The band are promising some big moves in 2020, so fans should be on the lookout.
