Stefanie Joosten (Metal Gear Solid) reunites with Giorgio Moroder for Sparks' cover “Tryouts For The Human Race"
Stefanie Joosten, who is best known by Metal Gear Solid fans as Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, has reunited with acclaimed producer Giorgio Moroder.
The two joined forces for Joosten’s cover of Sparks’ “Tryouts For The Human Race." The song originally appeared on Sparks’ 1979 studio album No. 1 in Heaven, which was also produced by Moroder. The producer was previously an executive producer on Joosten’s 2022 debut album Singing to the Sky.
Moroder said this about their new collaboration, which is available on digital services right now:
“Tryouts For The Human Race is a snapshot of tomorrow. The collaboration with Stefanie was marvelous. Stefanie’s performance brings drama and beauty to the song.”
Joosten also said:
"Working on this song with Giorgio allowed me a place to dream and to express myself in a new genre. It allowed me to feel unrestrained and daring in a new setting where I am free to experiment with my music. It was a beautiful journey of exploration."
“Tryouts For The Human Race" comes from Joosten’s forthcoming album Intermission, which will be released on November 10 via Revenge.
