Shovel Knight Live: Steel Thy Concert announced for Los Angeles and NYC
Shovel Knight fans will be able to witness their favorite tracks from the beloved video game in a special concert event.
Revealed yesterday, Shovel Knight Live: Steel Thy Concert will bring compositions from the Shovel Knight game to life thanks to Tokyo-based live music company SOHO Live. The live music performed by a 10-piece orchestral and rock ensemble will be arranged by both Grammy award-winning artist Charlie Rosen and Shovel Knight composer Jake Kaufman.
Rosen said this about working on the event:
“I am incredibly honored to realize this incredible chip-tune soundtrack live! It is some of the most inventive and vibrant composing I have ever heard in a video game, and translating it to live instruments will be an incredible thrill both to write and perform!! I can't wait for fans of Shovel Knight (myself included) to hear these amazing melodies brought to life on stage!”
The concerts will take place at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on January 19 and Town Hall in NYC on February 22. Tickets for the Los Angeles show will go on sale to the general public this Friday (September 6) at 10 a.m. PST. Town Hall Member pre-sales for the Town Hall show will go live tomorrow (September 5) at 12 p.m. EST while Ticketmaster pre-sales go live on September 12 at 12 p.m. EST. Tickets for the Town Hall show will go on sale to the general public next Friday (September 13) at 12 p.m. EST.
