Anime festival Rose City Anifest taking over Rosemead Rec Center this Sunday
Rose City Anifest is bringing some anime and manga action to Rosemead this Sunday (August 20).
The one-day festival will take place at the Rosemead Rec Center (3936 N. Muscatel Ave.) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and it’ll be free to the public. When it comes to guests, the festival will bring some familiar voices to meet their fans. Street Fighter 6 voice talent Jessica Straus (Juri) and Tiana Camacho (Lily) along with Udon’s Street Fighter 6 cover artist Reiq will appear.
HoYoverse fans will be thrilled with voice talent from Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact making appearances. Caleb Yen (Trailblazer), Anjali Kunapaneni (Dori, Sushang), Emily Sun (Clara), Anne Yatco (Raiden Shogun), Khoi Dao (Albedo), Laura Stahl (Barbara, Xinyan), and Cory Yee (Gorou) will attend.
Outside of voice talent, the event will feature a slew of local vendors and artists showing off their craft. There will also be anime-themed sports activities, an Itasha showcase, and an 18+ karaoke mixer.
While Rose City Anifest is free to the public, there’s a special VIP package here featuring early access entry to meet the guests, additional raffle tickets, and a limited-edition sticker. Only 100 VIP packages will be available.
