RoboDunk brings robots to the basketball court
After the success of their 2019 anime fighter Fly Punch Boom!, Jollypunch Games will head to the basketball court with RoboDunk.
Revealed at Guerrilla Collective, RoboDunk is a mixture of NBA Jam meets Rogue Legacy with the inclusion of robots. The game features a roguelite campaign where the player has to dive deep into the history of the Gods. During gameplay, the player can use mods, weapons, and stage hazards to take down their opponents to claim the victory.
Jollypunch Games owner/sole developer Gabriele Libera said:
"I love games like Mario Strikers, it's so satisfying to feel the hits in your hands. But they can get repetitive, especially if you don't have friends over. I want to make an arcade sports combat game that feels that good, but also has a lot of variety and progression, whether you play by yourself or with other people."
The game, which features music from Jorge Olivares, can be wishlisted on Steam right now. Those looking to get an early taste of the game can head here to sign up for beta access.
