Portland darkwave act Ceremony Shadows release new single "Resistance"
Portland darkwave act Ceremony Shadows recently unveiled their new single "Resistance"
Self-produced by the band, the 80s synthpop-tinged single was mixed and mastered by Maurizio Baggio at Distilleria Music. "Resistance" stems from Ceremony Shadows’ forthcoming studio album, which is slated to arrive soon. The act said this about their new single, which is out on digital services right now:
“Resistance is always futile. What you resist persists. Trust that Resistance exists to push us to obliterate limitations. The greatest form of Resistance is ourselves. It's in the fear that keeps us small, procrastination that hinders a goal, and the voice that says “I can't”. Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right. One can accomplish great things when Resistance is used as a tool.”
Ceremony Shadows will take part of the 2024 edition of the Immortalis Fest, which takes place on October 4 and 5 at the Coffin Club in Portland. Other acts slated to perform at the two-day festival include TRAITRS, Ritual Howls, and Forever Grey. Two-day and single day passes for the 21+ event can be purchased here.
