Megadeth and Lamb of God announce 2022 leg of The Metal Tour of the Year
Following last year’s successful run, Megadeth and Lamb of God will join forces again for another round of the Metal Tour of the Year.
Announced today, the trek will kick off on April 9 at Las Vegas’ Michelob Ultra Arena, and it’ll conclude with a performance at Allentown’s PPL Center on May 15. This trek will feature some familiar faces from last year’s trek. Trivium, who took part in the first leg, will be supporting their new studio album In the Court of the Dragon. In Flames, who were forced to drop off the first leg, will take part of the second leg. The band’s last studio album was 2019’s I, the Mask.
Pre-sale tickets will go live tomorrow (January 12) at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets and VIP packages will go on sale to the general public this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
Megadeth will unveil their new studio album The Sick, the Dying ... and the Dead! this spring. This will be the follow-up to their 2016 studio album Dystopia, which earned the band their first Grammy win. Lamb of God will be plugging their 2020 self-titled studio album.
