Marley Hale announces debut EP 'By My Own Ways,' releases "Drunk On You" single
Brooklyn-based Americana artist Marley Hale will unveil their debut EP this summer.
Announced today, By My Own Ways will be released on July 26. The first single from the release titled “Drunk On You” debuted last year via a live performance video filmed at The Garage in Camp Verde, Arizona. Hale said this about the personal track, which is out on digital services today:
“When I first wrote ‘Drunk On You,’ I played it alone, even when performing with the band. It was one of the first songs I wrote after getting sober, and the first to really address my sobriety. In those first months after quitting, everything felt new––every emotion was stronger than I’d ever remembered. ‘Drunk On You’ was my attempt to grapple with it, and accept where I was in my journey. Even now, playing the song with a band, I feel everything I did when I first wrote it.”
This Memorial Day weekend, Hale will have performances in Pomona for NextfestLA 2024 and Queens at Jones Bar. Upcoming shows can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
