Los Angeles hyperpop artist Madge announces 'ravepack' EP, releases new track "buttonss"
Los Angeles hyperpop artist Madge will unveil their debut EP this summer.
Announced today, ravepack will be released on July 14 on Weird Sister Records. Madge said this about their forthcoming nine-track release:
“ravepack is pop from the dungeon, an exploration of adorable meets [messed] up in the post-Soviet underground. I was 90 percent sad and 10 percent raving when I made these songs, produced by Grandbankss and co-written with Tzar. Between each track is an interlude that I created myself DJ-style so the mixtape translates as one continuous set to feel existential dread to.”
A new single from the release titled “buttonss” can be heard below. Madge said this about the new song, which is out on digital services right now:
“You don't wanna hurt me but you like to see me cry. At some point the tears are gonna melt this cotton candy fantasy away and you'll be left all alone at the rave. Grandbankss and Tzar helped bring my gabber kick dreams onto the dance floor with this one. Caramelldansen goes to the dungeon.”
Madge will embark on a DJ tour this summer including stops in NYC, London, and Berlin. Dates will be revealed soon.
