Kaina releases new single "Apple"
Venezuelan/Guatemalan-American singer-songwriter Kaina has unveiled their new single “Apple.”
The track arrives with a music video directed by Weird Life Films. In the visual, the singer finds themselves in Mister Rogers shoes with a bevy of colorful characters joining them. Kaina said this about the song:
"Apple is about wanting to exist as simple as an apple! Like most people I often overthink a lot and it’s sort of just a silly song about wanting to appreciate the way I am and the way I exist at the purest form possible. I talk about being in my own way a lot despite how hard I work and have good things going for me. Ultimately I realize that it’s up to me to have the compassion, patience and care for myself as well as a little humor about things.
This was produced by Sen Morimoto and myself. I wanted to make something upbeat and I feel like the end product is also a perfect encapsulation of the fun and experimentation Sen and I have when working on music together.”
“Apple” comes from Kaina’s forthcoming studio album It Was A Home, which will be released on March 4 via City Slang. Pre-orders for the album can be made here.
