John Carpenter announces new album 'Lost Themes III: Alive After Death,' releases new single "Weeping Ghost"
Iconic film director/composer John Carpenter has announced their new studio album Lost Themes III: Alive After Death.
Announced today, the 10-track album will be released on February 5 via Sacred Bones. A new song from the record titled “Weeping Ghost” can be heard below. When it comes to working with their son Cody and godson Daniel Davies, Carpenter said:
“We begin with a theme, a bass line, a pad, something that sounds good and will lead us to the next layer. We then just keep adding on from there. We understand each other's strengths and weaknesses, how to communicate without words, and the process is easier now than it was in the beginning. We've matured.”
Pre-orders for the album, which also includes the previously released single “Skeleton,” can be made here. You can check out the different variants available for the release below. This is the follow up to 2016’s Lost Themes II, which peaked at number two on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart and number three on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
