Into Another, Verbal Assault, Shades Apart to perform at Zebulon in Los Angeles
NYC post-hardcore band Into Another will make a rare appearance in Los Angeles.
The band will headline Zebulon on Sunday, August 25. Joining them for this show are 80s Rhode Island hardcore punk band Verbal Assault and New Jersey alt rock/hardcore punk group Shades Apart. Tickets for this 21+ show are on sale to the general public right now here.
Formed in 1990 by former members of Underdog and Bold, Into Another landed a deal with Hollywood Records after a pair of albums on Revelation Records. Their only album released on the label was 1995’s Seemless, which spawned the radio single "T.A.I.L." Out of print for decades, Seemless recently made its way to digital services earlier this year. Into Another’s last release was their 2015 Omens EP.
Hailing from the East Coast, Verbal Assault spent the 80s touring all over North America and Europe while releasing a slew of material, including their sole studio album Trial. While they disbanded in 1991, the band reunited in 2021 for a pair of shows in the Northeast.
Much like Into Another, Shades Apart spent time on Revelation Records’ roster before landing a major label deal with Universal for the releases of Eyewitness and Sonic Boom. The band’s single "Valentine" landed on the Billboard charts while their track "Stranger By The Day" gave them massive exposure thanks to the American Pie film. Most people know them for their punk-tinged cover of Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love.”
All three bands will be in the area for the Gimme Some 90s festival, which takes place on Saturday, August 24 at the Garden Amphitheatre in Garden Grove, California. Other bands slated to perform on the hardcore festival include Gameface, By the Grace of God, and Outspoken. Tickets for the festival can be purchased here.
