Detroit punk rock band Hayley and the Crushers release "Broken Window" lyric video
Detroit punk rock band Hayley and the Crushers have unveiled the lyric video for their song "Broken Window" today.
The lyric video, which can be seen below, was filmed by Hayley and the Crushers’ bassist Dr. Cain ESQ on an iPhone at Detroit’s People Mover transit system. Vocalist Hayley Cain said this about the single:
“I was thinking of that classic kid’s game Operation when writing ‘Broken Window.’ It felt like I was operating on someone I loved, but they weren’t a willing participant for the surgery. There I was, trying to save them from themselves, their own vices. You can guess how that turned out.”
“Broken Window” comes from Hayley and the Crushers’s latest studio album Modern Adult Kicks, which is out right now on Kitten Robot Records.
On Saturday, June 10, Hayley and the Crushers will perform at Detroit's Motor City Pride. More information about the event can be found here. The band will also perform at Sanctuary Detroit alongside Rodeo Boys, Elspeth Tremblay & The Treatment, and Seaholm on June 17. Tickets for this show are on sale to the general public right now here.
