Ghouls' Day Out 2024 (My Chemical Romance fan event) in Los Angeles (photos)
On Saturday, SoCal event coordinator SpooksieBoo Events brought a slew of My Chemical Romance fans to the Immanuel Presbyterian for another celebration of the band's career.
Ghouls' Day Out gave fans the chance to take a photo at the iconic spot where My Chemical Romance's "Helena" music video was filmed. Behind the church, fans traversed through the Ghoul Market to check out some items from vendors such as Angie's Terror Buddies, Midsummer Scream, and Cherry Ghost Crafts. Directed across from the market was the main stage where attendees were greeted by a slew of live music from Green Day tribute band Green Today, Bella Kelly, and cover bands Living Room Mischief and Crooklyn and the Science Kids.
The event was headlined by a performance from My Chemical Romance tribute band Sweet Revenge, who delivered a 90-minute set filled with fan-favorite MCR songs such as "Helena" and "The Ghost of You" as well as deep cuts such as "Drowning Lessons" from I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love and "Disenchanted" from The Black Parade. While My Chemical Romance haven't touched these deep cuts in years ("Drowning Lessons" hasn't been played live in 20 years), Sweet Revenge did a grand job of bringing these and other MCR songs to life in front of a packed crowd. If you missed the event, Ghouls' Day Out will return on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
