G4 teams up with Wizards of the Coast for D&D Live 2021
This summer, D&D Live will still be virtual, but it’ll get some assistance from G4.
Announced today, Wizards of the Coast will join forces with G4 for this year’s D&D Live. The event, which takes place on July 16 & July 17, will feature some of the biggest names in the D&D community taking part in four exciting games. Aside from games, viewers will be greeted with interviews, cool product reveals, a special DM roundtable, and giveaways.
G4 VP of Programming and Creative Strategy Brian Terwilliger said this about the collaboration:
“D&D Live 2021 is going to be an innovative event with new forms of interactivity for a live streaming audience and the perfect D&D introduction for new audiences. We’re thrilled to partner with Wizards of the Coast to give fans adventure, comedy, and an incredibly entertaining journey into the theater of the mind.”
Wizards of the Coast Head of Franchise Nathan Stewart also said:
“D&D Live has been such an exciting event for both fans and Wizards, and it’s amazing how it has grown each year. In 2021, we are expanding D&D Live’s impact by partnering with G4. With G4 joining our party, we aim to bring even more fans to Dungeons & Dragons by showcasing friends adventuring together.”
The partnership won’t end after D&D Live, though. This fall, G4 will air a four-part D&D series featuring G4 talent, popular D&D players, and celebrities. More information on D&D Live and these forthcoming campaign series will be revealed soon.
