Front 242, Consolidated set to rock The Mayan in Los Angeles for Wax Trax! Showcase
Cold Waves Festival and Wax Trax! will bring some Cold Waves action to Los Angeles later this month.
On Thursday, September 30, the Los Angeles installment of the Wax Trax! Showcase will feature a lineup of some of the best EBM, synthpop, and industrial inside The Mayan. Headlining the evening are influential EBM outfit Front 242, who took the dance charts by storm with hits such as "Headhunter," “Tragedy (For You),” and "Rhythm of Time." The show will also feature a special performance from beloved industrial act Consolidated, who unveiled their new studio album We're Already There earlier this year.
A Paul Barker/Chris Connelly collaboration set (Luxapan) and a performance from Los Angeles synthpop act Riki, who is set to release their sophomore studio album Gold on November 26 via Dais Records, round out the rest of the lineup. Aside from the live music, there will also be DJ sets in between acts from Baby Magick and a special performance from Delilah Domino as Divine.
While the music is going, Wax Trax! will hold a pop-up store with a slew of collectibles and merch, including test pressings, T-shirts, and vintage posters.
Tickets for this 21+ event are on sale to the general public right now. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with an 8 p.m. showtime. The Mayan is located at 1038 South Hill Street in Los Angeles, California.
