Five acts to catch at Psycho Las Vegas 2021
Psycho Las Vegas will wind down summer at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino with a slew of the heaviest acts out there. We look at five acts worth checking out at the music festival, which takes place from August 20 through August 22. Tickets for Psycho Las Vegas are still on sale here.
KANGA
When: Saturday (4 p.m. - 4:50 p.m. @ House of Blues)
Los Angeles’ KANGA has earned a slew of fans, including electronic legend Gary Numan, for their blend of industrial and pop. The artist will be supporting their new studio album You and I Will Never Die, which is the highly anticipated follow-up to their 2016 self-titled studio album.
Vitriol
When: Sunday (1 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. @ House of Blues)
Portland death metal act Vitriol have earned rave reviews from their 2019 Century Media debut To Bathe from the Throat of Cowardice. The act recently re-released their rare demo EP Antichrist with newly recorded vocals, and they'll be busy this fall touring with Dying Fetus and Terror.
Toke
When: Friday (3 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. @ House of Blues)
Hailing from North Carolina, stoner metal gurus Toke are no strangers to Psycho Las Vegas having played the festival in 2017 and 2018. With both national and international tours alongside Zakk Sabbath, Weedeater, and Year of the Cobra, the band have racked up a plethora of mileage over the years. Toke have been working on the follow-up to their 2017 studio album (Orange).
Creeping Death
When: Sunday (3 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. @ House of Blues)
Dallas death metal crew Creeping Death have been turning heads with electric performances alongside The Acacia Strain, High on Fire, and Power Trip. The band will unveil their new six-song EP titled The Edge of Existence on October 8 via eOne Music, which will be following by a trek across the country with Exhumed, Bewitcher, and Enforced.
Withered
When: Saturday (4:15 p.m. - 5 p.m. @ Rhythm & Riffs Lounge)
For almost 20 years, Atlanta blackened doom/death metal act Withered have been making their mark in the scene with a bevy of acclaimed material and tours with Mastodon, Skeletonwitch, and Cattle Decapitation. The band will be plugging their new studio album Verloren, which is out on Season of Mist Underground Activists.
