Popular anime convention FanimeCon 2022 returns to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center this weekend
FanimeCon will make its grand return to the San Jose McEnery Convention Center this weekend.
The popular anime convention, which launched in 1994, will bring a slew of guests to the three-day event (May 27 through May 30). Cosplayers VampyBitMe and Maguma, content creator Alvin Zhou, costumer makers HokuProps, and voice actors Xanthe Huynh (The Irregular at Magic High School, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day), and David Vincent (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Tekken) will join virtual guests Aoi Yuki (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, The Seven Deadly Sins) and Keisuke Ueda (My Hero Academia, My Sweet Tyrant) as the special guests.
Aside from guests, FanimeCon will feature a slew of events, such as speed dating, karaoke, and the Black & White Ball. Unfortunately, a handful of familiar events won’t be returning for this year’s installment, including cosplay chess and the masquerade. Head here to discover what events will still go down at FanimeCon this year.
Badges for FanimeCon 2022 can be purchased at the door and online (more information can be found here). People who paid for FanimeCon 2020 tickets will have their tickets rolled over to this weekend.
San Jose McEnery Convention Center is located on 150 W San Carlos St in San Jose, California.
