Dragon Ball DAIMA gets October 2024 premiere date
The premiere date for the forthcoming Dragon Ball DAIMA anime has been announced today.
The show will premiere subtitled on October 11 via Crunchyroll in the United States, Canada, Latin America including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia. A new trailer can be seen here.
Grammy-winning producer Zedd will provide the show’s opening and ending themes. For the opening theme “Jaka Jaan,” Zedd joined forces with vocal duo C&K. The song’s lyrics were written by Yukinojo Mori, who is best known for the iconic Dragon Ball franchise songs “Cha-La Head-Cha-La” and “Limit Break x Survivor.” The ending theme “NAKAMA” finds Zedd collaborating with singer AI, who also provided the song’s lyrics.
A synopsis for Dragon Ball DAIMA reads:
Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small. What sort of adventure awaits Goku, Supreme Kai, and the new characters Glorio and Panzy in this unknown world, the “Demon Realm”?
Dragon Ball DAIMA, which was revealed at last year’s New York Comic Con, commemorates the 40th anniversary of the original Dragon Ball manga.
