San Jose math rock band Covet have unveiled their new single “lovespell” today.

The new song comes with an accompanying music video directed by frequent collaborator Tom Flynn (Lamb of God, Body Count, Fire From The Gods). The visual can be seen below.

Covet’s Yvette Young said this about the new song:

“This one is the album closer. The closest feeling I get to falling in love is when I write and play music, and this song is a tribute to that feeling of being totally smitten by the joy of creating and feeling things deeply. It was important to me to leave everyone on a high note (in this case, a saxophone solo provided by the amazing Alex Rose from Minus the Bear).”

“lovespell” comes from Covet’s forthcoming studio album catharsis, which will be released on April 7 via Triple Crown Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here.

Starting on April 7, Covet will embark on a North American headlining tour with support from Scarypoolparty and altopalo. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.
