Chinese American Bear release "Yummy Yummy Yummy" and announce U.S. tour
Experimental indie rock band Chinese American Bear has delivered another new single from their forthcoming album Wah!!! today.
The single "Yummy Yummy Yummy" deals with the love of noodles with an accompanying visual directed by Hunter Boen and Chinese American Bear’s Bryce Barsten, which can be seen here. Anne Tong further explains the song:
“We’ve been wanting to write a song about noodles (my favorite food) for awhile and this was that song! In Asian cultures - slurping your noodles is considered a compliment to the chef or a sign of enjoyment and naturally we had to write lyrics about this appetizing sound into a song about noodles. We wanted to make the lyrics visual too - they literally translate to “give me a pair of chopsticks, I’ll hold a spoon, and carry a big bowl of noodle soup.”
Wah!!! will be released on October 18 via Moshi Moshi. Pre-orders for the album can be made here. Chinese American Bear will promote the album with a tour across North America, which kicks off on October 18 at Seattle’s Sunset Tavern. Tour dates can be seen below.
