Canadian black metal band Wormwitch to unveil Lord Of Chains - A Mörk Borg Nightmare TTRPG
Canadian black metal band Wormwitch will be bringing their music to a new platform.
The band are collaborating with U.K.-based TTRPG writer JVC Parry (Call from the Deep) for Lord Of Chains - A Mörk Borg Nightmare. The TTRPG will combine the Mörk Borg world with the band’s lyrics for an exciting adventure for fans of Wormwitch and TTRPGs.
Wormwitch vocalist/bassist Robin Harris said this about the project:
"The Lord Of Chains module came to be when JVC Parry reached out to us with an idea to combine his interest in the band and roleplaying games. With access to lyrics and insights from the band, he was able to construct something crushingly bleak in the grimdark tradition of Mörk Borg. Players will plunge into a dying and cursed world to face off in a doomed struggle against the Lord Of Chains, who has crossed the farthest abyss to haunt the maddening halls of their campaign world.”
Guitarist Colby Hink also said:
“This is a super cool and unorthodox collaboration between us and the writer. All of us are fans of the fantasy genre, gaming, and tabletop RPGs to some degree, so a project of this nature was right up our alley. Parry was right on the money as far as his vision to pair his work with our lyrics and themes, and we’re stoked to play the game ourselves.”
The Kickstarter for the project can be found here. While the project reached its goal, there’s plenty on stretch goals available, including more artwork and pages. The Kickstarter will close on July 9.
Wormwitch’s last studio album was 2021’s Wolf Hex. In May, the band unveiled the single “Age Of The Ordeal Of Iron.”
