Anime NYC announces collaboration with Play NYC
This year’s Anime NYC is set to be bigger than ever with the addition of gaming.
Announced yesterday, the anime convention is joining forces with Play NYC to bring a massive gaming area for attendees in August. Developers interested in showcasing their games at the convention can apply here. Play NYC will celebrate its ninth installment at the popular convention.
MK Goodwin, Event Director of Anime NYC, said this about the collaboration:
"We're thrilled to welcome Play NYC to the Anime NYC family. This collaboration allows us to offer our fans an even more diverse and engaging experience. Whether you're a fan of anime, gaming, or both, there's incredible experiences waiting for you at Anime NYC. We’re looking forward to Play NYC bringing its unique touch to the show and creating a dynamic experience where fans can enjoy the best of both worlds.”
Krysti Pride of Playcrafting, the organization behind Play NYC, also said:
“Playcrafting is incredibly excited about partnering with Anime NYC on Play NYC, and humbled they see the value in giving game developers a home to showcase their work. Anime culture often overlaps with games, with many developers taking inspiration, so this collaboration seamlessly blends both vibrant, creative communities and provides tremendous value for developers looking to get their games into the hands of like-minded potential players. Attendees will be absolutely amazed at what game developers are making, and may even play the next big hit.”
Friday and Sunday badges for Anime NYC are on sale to the general public right now here. Anime NYC takes place from August 23 through August 25 at the Javits Convention Center.
