The 2020 installment of VidCon US is officially cancelled.

The announcement was made today. “Unfortunately, due to the continued uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, and the precautions being taken by authorities worldwide to manage this pandemic, we have come to the difficult decision to cancel VidCon this June,” VidCon general manager Jim Louderback said in a statement.

While the convention is done, there’s still plans to give fans a piece of VidCon this year. “We are working hard to bring you a VidCon US experience this fall, and will keep you posted as those details come together. Don’t worry; it will still be an amazing event that you won’t want to miss,” Louderback also said in a statement.

VidCon was slated to take place from June 17 through June 20 inside the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California
