Canadian alternative pop band Valley will deliver their new studio album this summer.

Announced yesterday, Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden will be released on August 30 through Capitol Records/Universal Music Canada. The band wrote and produced the 12-track album in a cabin in Tennessee with COIN’s Chase Lawrence jumping in as the executive producer.

The album’s title track is out right now on digital services. Drummer Karah James said this about the single:

“’Water The Flowers, Pray For A Garden’ is a song about love and loss. It touches on the classic idea that nobody is going to make you happier than yourself, and sometimes we take ourselves too seriously to the point where we become unhappy. Everything feels like a bigger deal than it really is or ever should be. Sometimes the best thing we can do is just laugh at ourselves and let it go.”

Pre-orders for Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden can be made here.

Valley also announced a fall trek across the United States in support of the forthcoming record. Mickey Darling and Charli Adams will join the trek as the supporting acts. Tour dates can be seen below. Pre-sale tickets will go live next Tuesday (June 11) at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public next Friday (June 14) at 10 a.m. local time.
