U.K. folk rock act Hollow Hand unveils new single "All My Love"
U.K. folk rock act Hollow Hand has dropped their new single “All My Love” today.
An accompanying music video was directed by frequent Hollow Hand collaborator James Sharp, which can be seen below. Hollow Hand’s Max Kinghorn-Mills said this about filming the visual:
"James Sharp & I shot the video in high summer during one of our trips inspired by the psychogeography & ley-lines of Sussex. I was reading ‘The Old Straight Track’ by Alfred Watkins, James & I were both tuned into noticing earthworks, burial chambers & ‘notches’ (which are sighting points used to trace ‘ley-lines’; ancient pathways across the British landscape). Our folklore investigations led us to visiting and filming at various sites of interest across Sussex such as ‘The Long Man of Wilmington’ (a mysterious 70 metre chalk figure on the South Downs), the Pyramid Mausoleum of ‘Mad-Jack’ Fuller & the ruins of Pevensey Castle.
Throughout that Summer we were also working on a self-funded documentary for one of our favourite 70s British bands (which will remain a secret for now), and during our travels to interview people we would make stops at ancient sites & landmarks.
It was on one of these days that we decided to visit Avebury Henge & Silbury Hill in Wiltshire. We shot parts of the video to ‘All My Love’ amongst the sarsen stones next to a loud, shamanic drum circle. We also took the photograph for the album cover between ‘The Cove’ stones of Avebury, it just felt right & something there connected with me spiritually."
“All My Love” comes from Hollow Hand’s forthcoming studio album Your Own Adventure, which will be released on March 3 on Curation Records. The 13-track album features appearances from artists such as Tim Smith (Midlake, Harp), Spencer Cullum, and Holly Macve. Pre-orders for the album can be made here.
