Months after being announced, a teaser trailer for the new Super Mario Bros. Movie has arrived today.

Attendees at New York Comic Con got the first glance of the trailer during a panel at the Main Stage. The Super Mario Bros. Movie stars Chris Pratt as Super Mario with support from stars such as Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. Voice talent Charles Martinet, who has been the voice of Super Mario in the video game franchise for 30 years, will appear in the movie in undisclosed roles.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be released on April 7 in the United States via Universal Pictures. The film is slated to arrive on streaming service Peacock 45 days after its initial release.

This is the second animated film based on the Mario franchise; in 1986, Shochiku Company, Limited unveiled Super Mario Bros.: Peach-Hime Kyushutsu Dai Sakusen! (Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach!).
