Third season of One-Punch Man announced

One-Punch Man will return for season three.

Revealed yesterday, a post on the official One-Punch Man website revealed season three is early in development. Character designer Chikashi Kubota, who worked on the first two seasons of the series, shared a teaser image of Saitama and Garou, which can be seen below.

Based on the popular webcomic of the same name, the One-Punch Man anime made its debut in 2015. One-Punch Man has since become a franchise with a manga remake selling over 30 million copies worldwide, a video game (2019’s One-Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows), and a mobile game (2019’s One Punch Man: Road to Hero). A live-action adaptation directed by Justin Lin is currently in the works.

The first two seasons of One-Punch Man are available to stream on Hulu right now.

A synopsis for the series reads:

Saitama is a guy who's a hero for fun. After saving a child from certain death he decided to become a hero, and trained hard for three years. Though he's now so strong he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, lately he feels as if, in exchange for overwhelming power, he's lost something even more important.
