The five best panels to catch at Crunchyroll Expo 2022

Crunchyroll Expo makes its in-person return this weekend, and Crunchyroll fans will be present to celebrate the biggest anime streaming service out there. We look at five panels worth checking out at the three day festival, which takes place from August 5 through August 7 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. Eleven Arts Industry Panel
When: Friday, August 5 at 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm
Where: Hime Stage

The folks at Eleven Arts will be on hand to deliver some big announcements for their ever-growing catalog. This year, the company released Poupelle of Chimney Town and Ryoma! The Prince of Tennis. On September 27, Eleven Arts will release The House of the Lost on the Cape, which can be pre-ordered here. Since 1997, Eleven Arts has delivered films such as Gintama: The Final and A Silent Voice to North American audiences.

Rising to Greater Heights: AAPI Representation in Anime
When: Saturday, August 6 at 10:45 am - 11:30 am
Where Hime Stage

Voice actors Kaiji Tang (Jujutsu Kaisen, Dragon Ball Super), Rosalie Chiang (Turning Red), and Shawn Gann (Black Clover, Fruits Basket) will discuss the rise of AAPI representation in the world of anime. No photography or video will be allowed at this panel.

Embracing Your Inner Magical Girl: Women in Anime - Hosted by Crunchyroll with special guest panelists and Q&A
When:  Saturday, August 6 at 12:45 pm - 1:15 pm
Where: Yuzu Stage

But Why Tho? A Geek Community founder/editor-in-chief Kate Sanchez and voice actresses Anne Yatco (Kuromukuro, Beastars), Megan Shipman (Spy × Family, One Piece), and Natalie Van Sistine (Spy x Family, Attack on Titan) will join forces to discuss their path as women in the anime industry. The panel will include a Q&A section for fans to ask those burning questions. No photography or video will be allowed at this panel.

Kevin Penkin Composing Music Academy (Associate With Producer Hiromitsu Iijima)

Music producers Kevin Penkin and Hiromitsu Iijima will talk about working on remarkable music for anime. The pair previously worked together on Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, Star Wars: Visions, and Eden.
