The Dangerous Summer announce new album 'Gravity'
Maryland alternative rock band The Dangerous Summer will deliver their seventh studio album this summer.
Gravity is slated for a June 21 release via Rude Records. The title track from the album is available on digital services right now. Vocalist AJ Perdomo said this about the song:
“‘Gravity’ almost never happened. It had an old name - ‘The Walls Outside,’ with completely different lyrics. A week before the end of the record, I locked myself in my room for 2 and a half days. It was kind of a breaking point in the record, but it turned out to be filled with so much heart, that it ended up as the first single. It really encapsulates the album. The lonely journey we spent out in space finding our sound. There were times where I thought that we would never make it back.”
An accompanying music video, which can be seen below, was directed by the band with assistance from Ethan Luck, Danny Zawacki, and various artists. Pre-orders for Gravity and special Gravity merch can be made here.
In May, The Dangerous Summer will head to the U.K. for an appearance at Slam Dunk Festival as well as special headlining shows. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
