Hardcore punk gurus The Bronx have announced their new album.

Revealed today, their sixth studio album, which is properly titled Bronx VI, will arrive on August 27 via Cooking Vinyl. For the 11-track release, the band hooked up with producer Joe Barresi, who is best known for their work with Kyuss, Tool, and Bad Religion. The collaboration is something 15 years in the making as guitarist Joby Ford stated, “We’d been talking about doing a record together since 2005, and it finally aligned schedule wise.”

The first single (and opening track) from the album titled “White Shadow” can be heard below. Singer Matt Caughthran describes the tune as “a song about spiraling. Wild-eyed guitars, drums, and bass mixed with a high-speed chase and a frantic mind unraveling. CLASSIC FUCKING BRONX.”

Pre-orders for Bronx VI can be made here. All 11-tracks from the album will be released as limited-edition 7-inch singles with artwork from artists such as Tim Armstrong, Estevan Oriol, and Craig Stecyk. The artwork for “White Shadow”’s 7-inch was done by Jeremy Dean. Bronx VI is the follow-up to their 2017 release V.
