The best Halloween 2020 livestreams to watch

If you have no virtual plans this Halloween (October 31), there’s plenty of action taking place online. A slew of concerts and improv events will celebrate the holiday in their own way. This is a list of the best Halloween livestreams you can check out. Happy Halloween!

Code Orange - 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST (buy tickets here)

Livestream gurus Code Orange will have a special Halloween performance with Back Inside The Glass. This time around, they're not doing it alone. Machine Girl, Year of the Knife (performing their new album Internal Incarceration in its entirety), and Jesus Piece will also perform. Code Orange are promoting their latest studio album Underneath, which peaked at number two on the Tastemakers Albums chart and number six on the Hard Rock Albums chart.

Tickets for this show are $15, but there are special ticket/merch bundles available. Each ticket includes a download of “The Cutter.” The VOD will be available for 48 hours after the livestream ends.

Mr. Bungle - 3 p.m. EST/12 p.m. PST - (buy tickets here)

Influential experimental rockers Mr. Bungle will deliver chaos with their The Night They Came Home livestream on Halloween. On Friday (October 30), the band will release The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo, which is a re-recording of the band’s 1986 demo of the same name.

Tickets are available for $15. Special merch bundles are also available on the website. The VOD will be available for your viewing pleasure for 72 hours after the livestream ends.

The Disco Biscuits -7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST - (buy tickets here)

The Disco Biscuits are taking over the Lafayette Apple Festival Grounds in Syracuse, NY for three nights of music. From October 29 through October 31, the Philadelphia jam band will deliver unique sets each night. As expected, their Halloween set will be a fright. The band's last studio album was 2011's Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens. Tickets for the show are on sale for $20. A portion of all proceeds will go towards HeadCount.org

QXT's Halloween Party - 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST (watch here)

New Jersey alternative nightclub QXT's will celebrate the holiday with the best music in industrial, '80s, synthpop, goth, and new wave. They'll also hold a virtual costume contest, so be sure to put on your best gear. The winner will earn free admission to the club for one year when they re-open. Halloween with Impro Theatre - 7:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. PST (watch here)

Impro Theatre will be delivering a trio of improvised shows for your Halloween viewing on Twitch. At 4:30 p.m. PST, Scary Tales Improvised will find Impro Theatre's Improvising Plays & Films class delivering a bone-chilling performance. At 6 p.m. PST, Stephen Kearin will host Live Stage Horror Stories, which finds guests discussing real-life horror stories on stage. At 7 p.m. PST, Horror Unscripted will bring a spooky tale with performers Eric Carthen, Roberto Lewis, Rebecca Lowman, and Arlo Sanders with more TBA.

Alice Cooper Q&A - Rock Camp - 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST (buy tickets here)

Iconic rocker Alice Cooper will have a special Q&A session courtesy of Rock Camp. Many of Cooper’s classic songs such as “He’s Back (The Man Behind The Mask)” and “Feed My Frankenstein” have made it onto several Halloween playlists. Cooper’s last studio album was 2017’s Paranormal, which topped the Hard Rock Albums and Independent Albums charts. For $500, you can join the Q&A session by asking Cooper one question on camera. This is limited to 25 spots. If you want to sit back and enjoy the event, you can get a viewer ticket for $25.

The Maine - 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST (buy tickets here)

Alternative rockers The Maine will celebrate the holiday by performing their 2013 studio album Forever Halloween in its entirety. The band will also hold a Q&A session and have a cosplay contest. Tickets for this show are on sale for $10. Each ticket purchase will give fans access to the band’s membership-based app Pillar for 30 days. There’s also a ton of special merch bundles available to purchase. Forever Halloween peaked at number eight on the Independent Albums chart and number nine on the Tastemaker Albums chart.

Leetspeak Monsters - 7 a.m. EST/4 a.m. PST (watch here)

If you’re trying to kickstart Halloween early that day, Japanese visual kei rockers Leetspeak Monsters will hold a special livestream concert on YouTube. Back in April, the band unveiled their single “Beltane.” Last year, the band released their sophomore studio album Monster's Theater Vol.2.

Communion After Dark - 3 p.m. EST/12 p.m. PST (watch here)

Popular industrial/dark electro podcasts Communion After Dark and Dark Indulgence are celebrating the holiday with the help of friends all over the world. The event will include live performances from Angelspit, Curse Mackey, ESA: Electronic Substance Abuse, Empirion, Echoberyl, Zwaremachine, 00tz 00tz, Larva, Sine, and Spankthenun. Throughout the event, DJ Red Vamp, Alex Assimilate, DJ Maus, DJ Paradise, DJ Winters, DJ Scott Durand, DJ Blade, DJ Wicked Goth, DJ Matt Hart, Insert Scary Name Here, and God Module’s Jasyn Bangert will deliver DJ sets.
