The best Comic-Con@Home 2021 panels to watch

This year, San Diego Comic-Con will be available for fans worldwide again with Comic-Con@Home. The virtual event will feature a slew of panels, gaming tournaments, and watchalongs. We look at a few panels worth checking out during the convention. More information on Comic-Con@Home, including where to watch panels, can be found here.

San Diego Comic-Con will make its in-person return with Comic-Con Special Edition, which will take place on Thanksgiving weekend. More information will be unveiled soon.

Heels
When: July 23 at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST

The cast from the upcoming Starz drama Heels will be on hand to discuss the series, which revolves around two brothers’ quest to become the best wrestler in Georgia. Show creator Michael Waldron will join Stephen Amell, Alexander Ludwig, Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, Kelli Berglund, Allen Maldonado, James Harrison, and Chris Bauer for the panel. Heels will debut on Starz on August 15.

Rhapsody PR’s 13th Annual Behind-the-Music
When: July 23 at 2 p.m. EST/11 a.m. PST

A handful of music creatives will get together to discuss working on some of the biggest movies and TV shows out there. Moderated by actor/singer Jon Jon Briones (Netflix’s Ratched), the panel will feature composers Jeff Russo (Star Trek: Discovery), Natalie Holt (Marvel’s Loki), Mac Quayle (Ratched), Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us), and Dominic Lewis (Monsters at Work) along with music supervisor Maggie Phillips (Fargo) and score mixer Phil McGowan (Cobra Kai).

Rick and Morty vs Dungeons and Dragons Campaign
When: July 24 at 3 p.m. EST/12 p.m. PST

Rick and Morty and D&D collide with this exciting campaign featuring Satine Phoenix, Oni Press editor Robert Meyers, comic book writer Fred Van Lente, and Rick & Morty’s Jim Zub and Troy Little. Dungeons & Dragons vs. Rick and Morty was released in 2019.

Dark Knights: Death Metal: The Soundtrack
When: July 24 at 5 p.m. EST/2 p.m. PST

Unveiled last month, the soundtrack for Dark Nights: Death Metal features a variety of music acts, including Manchester Orchestra, Denzel Curry, and Mastodon. This panel, which is being moderated by Two Minutes to Late Night’s Gwarsenio Hall, will feature Scott Snyder, Tyler Bates, singer-songwriter Chelsea Wolfe, and Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor in a discussion about how the soundtrack was conceived.

Black Nerd Problems
When: July 25 at 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PST

Black Nerd Problems co-founders William Evans and Omar Holmon will talk about their forthcoming essay collection of the same name, which is slated for a September 14 release on Gallery Books. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette columnist Tony Norman will moderate the panel.
