Thank You Scientist drummer Faye Fadem exits band, replaced by Karmic Juggernaut's Kevin Grossman

Thank You Scientist drummer Faye Fadem has announced their exit from the band today.

In a statement made on social media, Fadem said:

“Faye here. This is a very difficult post for me to write. Due to personal reasons, I will not be going on the upcoming tour and will be leaving Thank You Scientist. This is an incredibly difficult decision that I would not make if I didn’t absolutely have to, and I am sorry to everyone who was looking forward to seeing me out on the road, especially the LGBTQ+ TYS fans who have shown me so much love and support. The past 4.5 years have been the most special of my life, but I am not the person I was when I joined the band and it is time for me to move on. I will now be putting all of my energy into my music as Trust Fund Ozu. That is the purest form of myself and where I release the music that heals me. I hope the support you have given me these past few years continues into this new chapter of my life, as it is truly invaluable to me.

The GOAT Kevin Grossman will be taking over for me. Kevin is the best drummer I know and has been one of my main inspirations for my whole drumming career. I learned a lot of what I do from watching Kevin. Please show him all the love!

It has been an honor to create this music for y’all and I hope you come along for both rides. A new chapter of Thank You Scientist is beginning and I have no doubt it will be equally glorious.

I’ll miss you everyone. It sure was fun, the times we all had.”

Fadem, who joined Thank You Scientist in 2017, will release their new studio album Tribute Summon under the Trust Fund Ozu moniker on January 7. Pre-orders can be made here. Grossman, who will join Thank You Scientist on their forthcoming tour with Intervals and Cryptodira, is best known for their work in New Jersey psychedelic rock band Karmic Juggernaut.

Tickets for Thank You Scientist’s forthcoming tour are on sale to the general public right now. The band will be supporting their new EP Plague Accommodations, which arrives on November 19.
