Summer Game Fest 2022 announce initial participation list, Day of the Devs: SGF Edition announced

An initial list of participating developers and publishers for this year’s Summer Game Fest has been revealed today.

Sony, Xbox, Capcom, Epic Games, and Sega are among the 30+ names announced for the digital festival, which will take place on July 9. The full list of participation companies can be seen below.

It was also announced that Day of the Devs will air following Summer Game Fest. The event will include a world premiere of a new IP from Monument Valley creators ustwo games and a world premiere from a new title from Michael Frei (creator behind Plug & Play, KIDS) & Raphaël Munoz. There will also be announcements from developers Coin Crew Games, Ewoud van der Werf, Florian Veltman & Baptiste Portefaix, HiWarp, Madison Karrh, Max Inferno, Shared Memory, Soda Den, Two Star Games, and Wishfully.

Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine Productions and co-founder of Day of the Devs said this about Day of the Devs: SGF Edition:

“Wait, what year is it? Ah, who cares! It's Summertime, and that means it's time for Day of the Devs! Last year, we had an unbelievable number of unique and diverse games and this year will be no different. Well, a little different, in that it might be even better. So, probably different, and probably better. Because we're smarter now and have a lot of folks helping us!"

While Summer Game Fest can be seen online via platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, the event is available to watch in IMAX theaters. Tickets are available to the general public right now.
