Major news about sci-fi narrative game Sky of Tides has been unveiled yesterday.

One big announcement is the title will be released later this year on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). A new trailer showcase new gameplay can be seen below. A demo is available on Steam right now.

Another big announcement is the reveal of an animated series based on the video game. The show, which is titled Sky of Tides: Atla, will be released later this year as well. A teaser of the series can be seen in the aforementioned trailer.

A synopsis for Sky of Tides and its accompanying animated series reads:

Developed by Lofty Sky Entertainment Inc, Sky of Tides is a story-driven sci-fi adventure with RPG elements set in a technologically advanced universe on the brink of war. ESDigital and Lofty Sky Entertainment are also thrilled to announce that Sky of Tides: Atla, a new 5 part animated TV series is currently in production and will take fans on a thrilling journey, venturing deeper into the complex Sky of Tides universe. Atla is a teenager who grew up as an elite living in the Ames Nation on Numen 9. She was born into a power cult with her twin brother, but now she is forced to grapple with the responsibility of privilege and leadership. Will she pledge loyalty to the powerful Syndicate, or dare to break away from her handlers and assist the Sovereign Coalition in its resistance to world domination?
