Sally Amaki (Overwatch 2) and Jon Kabira (eFootball) to co-host Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2023

The 2023 installment of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards has its hosts.

Announced yesterday, singer/voice talent Sally Amaki and Japanese presenter Jon Kabira will co-host the award ceremony, which will take place on March 4 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo. Born in Los Angeles, Amaki is best known for their work as Zashiki-warashi in The House of the Lost on the Cape and their recent role as Kiriko Kamori in Overwatch 2. Kabira is best known for being the announcer in the eFootball (formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer) video game franchise.

Rahul Purini, President of Crunchyroll said this about the announcement:

“We share a deep love of anime with Sally and Jon, and we’re so excited to have their energy and passion onstage with us at the Anime Awards next year. We’re looking forward to celebrating the creative forces behind anime’s biggest series and can’t wait to share more soon.”

Amaki said:

"I'm very excited to see which anime will win in each category! I will do my best to host this exciting event!"

Kabira also stated:

"I'm delighted and excited to be asked to host the seventh annual edition of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards! Sally Amaki and I are looking forward to the event together with the whole world. See you there!"

Fan voting for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards will begin early next year.
