Nashville pop/rock artist Ron Pope will unveil his new studio album this June.

Announced today, Inside Voices will be released on June 2 via Brooklyn Basement Records. The 10-track album is one of Pope’s most personal efforts yet as it revolves around pregnancy loss, nearly losing his wife through ectopic pregnancy, and the death of his grandparents.

The first single from the album titled “The Real Thing” deals with Pope almost losing his wife in the emergency room. An accompanying music video, which was directed by Sean Hagwell, can be seen below.

Pope said this about nearly losing his wife:

"We’re not ‘entertainment industry’ married; we’re ‘real people’ married. She is the gravity that holds our universe together, my best friend, my business partner, my lover, my bride.

This experience reminded me that I can never lose focus on what a gift it all is. This music is me remembering all of that; I know to treasure this woman and the life we’ve built together, because one day, it was all almost taken from us. So here I am, after all these years, singing about why I cherish her and how I’m still working to be a better partner for her from this day until our last day, whenever that may come."

Pre-orders for Inside Voices are live here.

Pope will embark on a spring headlining U.S. tour with support from Lydia Luce & Caleb Hearn. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.
