After two years away due to the pandemic, Ronin Expo made its in-person return to Los Angeles’ Terasaki Budokan yesterday.

Founded in 2017, the festival celebrates Asian culture, and there’s no better place to run a festival of this caliber than Little Tokyo. The event drew people from all over Los Angeles for a day full of shopping, gaming, and delicious food.

Ronin Expo also hosted a slew of special events outdoors ranging from live music from Origami Flagship to a remarkable dance performance from Corps Dance Crew. For the slew of cosplayers present, the Cosplay Masquerade, which was judged by Kem Cosplay, Dustbunny & A Foamsmith Cosplay, was a grand way to showcase their amazing craftsmanship. Just a few steps away, the Little Tokyo Library hosted panels such as Gunpla 101 and a special fan panel surrounding the career of iconic video game designer Hideo Kojima.
